First International Coaches Clinic for SA - May 2006

           
       

South Africa hosted its first Coaches Clinic at Medunsa in Pretoria in May 2006, attended by 11 people from all over South Africa, in addition to representatives from Botswana, Namibia and Australia.

The National Games Coaches Certification Course was presented by Canada’s Jim Dunn, a Level 5 Coach and IMGA executive officer in charge of country development, who has presented the course all over the world.

The course included a combination of classroom sessions as well as practical sessions on the field. To be officially certified, mounted games coaches also have to be in possession of a valid First Aid certificate. The participants also completed this requirement during the clinic.

Jim Dunn: Teaching the difference between how boys and girls vault.   Oom George Baben (63) giving vaulting a try! If these kids can do it so can I. And HE sure did, Swing vaults and Running vaults!!! Way to go!!! Oom George!!!
